If you work in affiliate marketing or analyze ad campaigns, sooner or later you’ll encounter creatives you want to study. Cloaking restricts access by showing content only to the target GEO. To understand how a competitor’s setup works, you need to bypass these restrictions.
Step-by-Step Guide to Bypassing Cloaking
- Identify the GEO and creative
First, determine which country or region the campaign targets. You can find this via spy tools or by analyzing the creative itself. - Use a proxy and anti-detect browser
Get a proxy for the target GEO and create a profile in an anti-detect browser with this proxy. Now your browser “appears” as a user from the target region. - Open the link via social networks
Sometimes a landing page only opens when accessed from Facebook. In this case, take the offer link:
https://ssylkanaoffer.ru/?subid=357&extrasubid=35
Add before it:
https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=
Resulting in:
https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https://ssylkanaoffer.ru/?subid=357&extrasubid=35
Next, replace all & symbols with %26. Open the link — a Facebook redirect page will appear. Click Go to Link, and you’ll see the actual landing page.
To bypass a competitor’s cloaking, simply simulate the target GEO with a proxy and anti-detect browser. If needed, use social network redirects. This allows you to safely and quickly analyze someone else’s setup and creative without complications.
