A trial is a sales-funnel trick: the user tries a product for free or for a very low price, and then moves on to a paid subscription.
In affiliate marketing, a trial offer means a person gets the product at zero cost or for a symbolic amount (for example, only paying for delivery) for the test period. This model is most often used for promoting nutra-products.
Example:
You get the first bottle of the product for free, pay only for delivery ($3). Once you fill out the form on the landing page, the subscription starts: every month $120 is charged from your card, and the manufacturer sends a new course of the product.
Types of Trial:
- Paid Trial — a discounted test period with a small fee.
- Free Trial — the user gets the product completely free.
Key features of Trial offers:
- Tier-1 GEOs — works mainly in top countries with stable economies (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand).
- 100% approval — leads are confirmed immediately after the card is linked, no call centers involved.
- High payouts — payments per lead are 2–3x higher than COD, but slightly lower than SS.
- No API — card confirmation happens only on the advertiser’s landing page, so it can’t be automated via API.
